Abstract
A rubber crawler system of a Japanese combine harvester was reconstructed and used for the testing on pitch angles, bounce of the center of gravity, bounce acceleration in front of the center of gravity and vertical dynamic loading force acting on the track rollers for the different arrangements of track rollers. Then, the vibration characteristics of each track roller arrangement were estimated.
Furthermore, it was certified through the comparison between experimental results and analytical simulation that this simulation method was useful as a computer software aided design to select a reasonable location arrangement of the track rollers in order to minimize the machine vibration.
