Abstract

In attempt to get data for analyzing a soil-tillage tool interaction, a soil bin test device was developed as one of main parts of this system, and a series of experiments was conducted using a soil-cutting blade with a rectilinear motion. Many kinds of experiments are possible with this system. Dynamic performance of the soil stress/displacement sensor was valid through these experiments. Many kinds of data for analyzing the interaction such as the relationships between soil stress and strain, movement, and surface pressure of the blade around vertical plain in the middle of this blade were measured simultaneously by 12 sensors in the soil.
