Abstract

In order to design a reasonable power driven disk plow, the theoretical analyses for motion and angle factors of an arbitrary point on disk edge, the minimum gang angle to avoid the pressing of furrow wall, the sectional area and center of gravity, the inertia moment of furrow slices were reported in the previous papers.
In this study, three component forces of tillage resistances and tilling torques acting on the disk were measured about the power driven disk plow and the free rotating disk plow in the artificial field.
Based on results of the measurement, the effects of curvature radiuses of the disk and gang angles on tillage resistances and tillage torques were investigated.
