Studies on Drum-type Fluidized Dryer for Grain (Part 2)

Abstract

Many experiments, following the first report by the authors, were carried out to investigate the drying performance of the drum-type fluidized dryer by drying wheat and soybean. The newly-developed dryer showed such results that (1) the optium drying condition for wheat was T=40-45°C, Q_r=0.06m³/(s·100kg), (2) for soybean T=2-27°C, Q_r=0.06m³/(s·100kg), (3) the low probability of damaged and cracked grain was proved, and that (4) the mixture of soybean, chaff, and ricebran fluidized by rotation could polish the soybean well.
