A new grain-straw separation system which could alternate a coventional straw walker was developed. In this paper, the prototype separation system was introduced, and the feasibility of this system was discussed. The developed separation system has 1.3m of separation length, and a screen-conveyer which conveys mixture of grains and straws. During the conveyance, grains are separated from mixture by blown up air and drop through the screen-conveyer into sampling box. The straws are conveyed out by the screen conveyer. The grain separation rate of this system was up to 90% at the conveyer speed of 0.7m/s and straw feed per conveyer surface area of 2.25kg/m2. This system will be adaptable to the grain separation system of combine.
