Abstract

From the point of view of the design and human engineering, the vibration analysis including attached equipment is very important for the optimum design of riding tractor. In this study, the momentum equation and the frequency transfer function of a riding tractor with rotary tiller were constructed by using the Lagrange equation to analyze the vibration characteristics due to the forced vibration from the rotary tiller. Furthermore, each parameter was measured to simulate the vibration characteristics. The spring constant and the viscous damping coefficient of the tractor tire were calculated by the logarithmic decrement of the free vibration wave. The characteristics difference between the tractor tire assembled on the tractor and disassembled was clarified, and the prediction of resonance frequency of tractor became possible.
