This paper deals with the prevention of air pollution by collecting dust which is exhausted from the dryers of co-operative grain facilities. An air filter which consists of cotton and artificial fiber was tested. This filter is disposable but the dust collection efficiency is high and the cost is resonable because the rated filtration velocity is high such as 0.4m/s. The dust collection efficiency and the life span of the filter were tested. The results showed that the dust collection efficiency was 98% for more than 50μm dust particles, 86 to 89% for 20 to 30μm dust particles, and 86% for less than 10μm dust particles. Under the exhaust air with 16mg/m3 dust density, the pressure of the filter rose extremly after twenty days and cleaning by air jet was required.
