It is necessary for stable production of high-yield and high-quality sugar cane with low cost to construct a production assisting information system for collecting and providing the required information such as soil, crop, pests and diseases, and weather conditions. In this study, the structure and functions of the system were discussed, and, main parts of it were made by forming the three kinds of database which were utilized the quality data, that is, yield of sugar cane, sugar content in cane (pol per cent cane) and so on obtained automatically by the purchase system. Characteristics of the distribution of sugar content were checked, and the effect of cropping type, variety and rainfall in the harvesting season on the sugar content were analyzed, and some distinct properties were made clear.
