Abstract
There are two kinds of ridge, soil and concrete in the paddy field. Ridge is classified as three types which are ridge aimed at travel in the beginning of the rice transplant, ridge of the field end and ridge of the field side. This paper discribes the detection of the soil ridge. The ridge edge were detected by the differential calculus processing with modified Kirsch operator. Each type of ridges was detected using each mask processing. Furthermore, the ridge line was determined using the Hough transformation. Though there was the end of the ridge in the image of the aimed ridge, the end of the ridge line was detected. The ridge line of the paddy field end was drawed exactly.
