Abstract

In this paper the authors deal with the relationship between kinematic viscosity and the size of droplets of two kinds of vegetable oils (deacidified rapeseed oil and deacidified palm oil) and the mixture of light oil and each vegetable oil. We measured the size of droplets by the immersion method. The kinematic viscosity of the four types of oils tested was altered by varying the injection temperatures and the ratios of the mixture of vegetable oil and light oil. As a result, the size of droplets increased with the increase of kinematic viscosity at each temperature. The relationship between kinematic viscosity and the size of droplets was approximately logarithmic.
