Abstract
The performance of a prototype combine harvester with yield monitoring function was measured while harvesting rice or wheat. The mass-measurement device was found to be highly accurate, with an associated error for 90% of the test samples being within 5% (maximum error<8%). The moisture-measurement device was also highly accurate (R=0.99, SEP=0.98 for rice; R=0.98, SEP=1.28 for wheat). Trials demonstrated that the prototype yield-monitoring combine harvester could be used obtain reliable cultivation management information by analyzing mass, moisture, and yield maps simultaneously.
