Abstract

The objective of this study was to develop a system that uses a motion capture system to measure the three-dimensional position information of dangerous tractor behavior, specifically the bouncing phenomenon. An experimental track and radio-controlled tractor were prototyped. Additionally, to verify the accuracy of the motion capture system, the tractor behavior measurement at the time of reproducing the bouncing phenomenon was compared with the measured value of the inertial measuring unit (IMU). The bouncing phenomenon could be reproduced safely and repeatedly, confirming that the motion capture system can measure longitudinal acceleration, vertical acceleration, and three-axis angular velocity with the same accuracy as the inertial measurement unit (IMU).
