Abstract
A 68-years-old man was undergone pacemaker implantation due to complete A-V block at his age of 59. He was pointed out cancer of the prostata with multiple bone metastasis, so the prostata and the both testis were resected in January 1982. The pacemaker was replaced with Spectrax(R) 8423, a programable pacer. After that he was treated with extracorporeally induced systemic hyperthermia four times. During the treatment, pule rate of the pacer was programed 100 to 120 according to body temperature. The hemodynamic data and oygen consumption were analysed and found stable and safe enough.
