Abstract
The most adequate way of the mechanical assist for cardioplumonary failure was studied in endotoxin induced shocked dogs by V-A bypass with oxygenator combined with or without IABP. Hemodynamicaly, IABP was as useful as V-A bypass. But V-A bypass, perfused from carotid artery, with IABP was the most effective. As far as blood gas analysis was concerned, IABP alone was no effect in comparison to V-A bypass. V-A bypass, perfused from carotid artery, combined with IABP had the strongest effectiveness to assist for cardiopulmonary failure. 1. acute cardioplumonary failure 2. V-A bypass 3. IABP 4. endotoxin induced shock 5. Aortic-, femoral perfusion
