Abstract
Antiplatelet drugs (Dypiridamole, Ticlopidine) were orally given 7 days before operation. By these drugs, activation of platelets aggregation and the formation of microembolei on the surface of oxygenator were remarkably suppressed. Prior to cardiopulponary bypass, if the platelet function was beneficially suppressed, platelet aggregation, consumption, and the formation of microemboli during cardiopulmonary bypass were prevented and the platelet counts and function were preserved.
