Eight mongrel dogs were devided to following two groups. I: with normal heart II: with failing heart underwent diagonal coronary arteries ligation. During bypass RA mean pressure, RV peak pressure and RV output did not change statistically in both groups.
Two-dimensional echocardiograms revealed the increasing of the dimension of RV and the paradoxical movement of IVS. It has been suggested these paradoxical movements may support the right ventricular function during LA-Ao bypass.
