We have already demonstrated that AVCO-MGH Dynamic Patch has beneficial effects for the recovery of the ischemic failing heart. However, its disadvantageous technical difficulty of patch anastomosis to LV must be improved for the clinical use of Dynamic Patch. Newly developed Saitama-Toray Dynamic Patch, the fragile dynamic membrane part is separated from the plastic frame for anastomosis, is designed to have regard especially for easiness and safety in patch anastomosis. Dogs experiment demonstrated that the hemodynamic effects of Saitama-Toray model is comparable to that of AVCO-MGH model in despite of its smaller volume displacement (25ml vs. 13ml).
