Abstract

We have already demonstrated that the Dynamic Patch (D-PATCH) is effective for massive myocardial infarction especially when it is conbined to IABP. However, the effect of D-PATCH on the regional myocardial function of the residual LV wall is not known. The segmental function of residual LV wall of dogs determined by sonomicrometer was improved by D-PATCH support. In conculsion, D-PATCH is effective for the salvage of ischemic residual myocardium.
