Femoro-femoral venoarterial bypass without Oxygenation, coated with new hydrophilic heparinized polymer

Abstract

Venoarterial bypass without oxygenation coated with bydrophilic heparinized polymer (H-PSD) evaluated in ten dogs. In straight polyvinylcloride circuit thrombus was not found macroscopically but by scanned electrone microscope plalelate adhesion, aggregation and thrombus were found. In tygon circuit having difference in level by connector and side arm thrombus was obserbed at connector and side arm macroscopieally, and at pressed portion by roller separation of coating was observed. In nonthrombogenic circuit straight elastic circuit and elastic coating material would be need.
