Abstract

The mitral valve replacement for the patients of the mitral regurgitation showed better hemodynamics in the early postoperative phase than the patients of the mitral stenosis. In the mitral stenosis group, the tissue valve (Ionescu-Shiley pericardial valve) was better hemodynamics than the mechanical valves (Björk-Shiley valve and SJM valve).
In comparison of hemodynamic changes by the cardiac pacing method at the long-term postoperative phase, the tissue valve showed the better henodynamics and prosthetic valve function than the mechanical valves. And this results were clear in 29 and 31mm of the valve diameter, but in 27mm of the valve diameter the mechanical valves were slightly better hemodynamics than the tissue valve.
