Abstract
New type of polyurethane was developed. Its excellent anticoagulability was proved by Quenched-Lee-White method and measure of platelet spreadability in vitro. Polyurethane tubes were implanted at the abdominal aortas of mongrel dogs for three hours to 4 mo. The patency rate was good and SEM findings showed that components of blood were noticed little on the inner surface of them. We confirmed the possibility of this polyurethane for small artificial vessels.
