DEVELOPMENT OF CONTINUOUS ARTERIO-VENOUS PLASMA EXCHANGE AND PLASMA PERFUSION (CAVPE/CAVPP)

Abstract

We have developed Continuous Arterio-Venous Plasma Exchange (CAVPE) and Continuous Arterio-Venous Plasma Perfusion (CAVPP). The systems needs no specific equipment. Blood flow is derived from pressure difference between artery and vein like CAVHo Plasma is filtrated when blood flow goes through hollow-fiber type plasma separater. A few sets of infusion pump are used for driving plasma both in CAVPE AND CAVPP. Thus, the system is very simple in its structure and is good for bcing operated continuously.
