Abstract
We have developed of the on-line SAC apparatus and clinical evaluation. The on-line SAC treatment was applied for 3 chronic rheumatoid arthritis patients. This therapy took within 3 h for treatment of an average 2280ml of serum. Alarm system consisted of conductive sensor, upper limit pressure gauge of precipitate filter and photodetector. The reduction rate of IgG was 40.9% and that of albumin was 12.5%. The newly devised on-line SAC apparatus provided safe and effective automation of plasma exchange by regeneration of autologus plasma with no problems during therapy. At this time, the new system proved to be safe and easy to use, and it promises to be widely used in clinical tnerapy.
