Abstract
In order to improve microcirculation, cryofiltration was applied to 9 cases of multiple myeloma patients who complicated renal failure and/or whose immunoglobulin levels were highly elevated continuously. Diuretic effect was temporally found in one case, and in another, creatinine clearance was improved with the reduction of fibrinogen, immunogrobulin and blood viscosity. In another case, cryofiltration was applied to prevent complications due to microcirculation disturbance after gastrectomy. It was successfully done, and the patient could discharge without major complication. All patients could feel the “lightness of body” after crrofiltration, which seemed one of the effect resulted from improvement of microcirculation. Cryofiltration can improve microcirculation rapidly, then it is useful in cases with the disease which mainly due to microcirculation disturbance.
