Abstract
Nineteen patients with aneurysm or dissection of the aortic arch underwent surgical treatment using SCP. The right azillary artery(AA) and the left common carotid arter y(LCA) were seperately cannulated and perfusud by individual pump heads. The flow to AA and L CA was 5.3 and 5.2 l/min/kg, respectively. The mean blood pressures of the right and left superficial temporal arteries were 54.5 and 56.0mmHg. The nasopharyngeal temperature during SCP was mainteined at 17.4-24.7°C. The SCP time ranged 73 to 210 min. Cerebral infarction occurred in one patient. The good cerebral protection was obtained by SCP controlled under the above-mentioned condition.
