Abstract
We evaluated clinicaly, same type of extracapillary blood flow type hollow fiver membrane oxygenator, D 703 COMPACTFLOW in comparison with HF-5400. The most difference of these two types of oxygenator is total priming volume (D 703 COMPACTFLOW: 1500±0ml, HF 5400: 1938±138ml mean±SD). The difference cause hematocrit highly during cardiopulmonary bypass at D 703 COMPACTFLOW significantly. Both oxygenator had a good performance of gas transfer. The change of complement (C3, C4, C3a, C4a), serum free hemoglobin, platelet preservation rate wer not significant in both oxygenator.
