Glucose sensor for implantable artificial pancreas has been developed in our laboratories. Our new structure of the sensor shapes a vessel access and has a special membrane which passes glucose partially in the blood inside it. This sensor is able to response to glucose levels up to 700mg% without dilution and the response time is six minutes. The activity of the immobilized enzyme membrane decreases minimum about 4% within three mounths and does not change with an intermitent use for 50 days.
