A scent reproducer with 4-ch gas generators of chemical constituents for the smell communication

Abstract

A 4ch-scent reproducing system was constructed by combining two gas generators with totally individual 4-colume channels, thus generating smell vapor by mixing 4 kinds of chemical components in the gas-phase. The reproduced smells of fish, radish, layer and distilled spirit by the system were could be communicated to over 80% subjects by the sensory test, respectively.
