Abstract

The results of the experinlents on paddy rice plants performed according to the purpose and opinions discussed in the previous report are described. Five characteristics (heading date, culm length, ear length, number of spikes, and spike weight per, plant) of three cross combinations (Ginga x Norin 41, and Balilla x Norin 41 were employed in both years, ChokaixOu 225 in 1959, and Norin 21 x Koshijiwase in 1960) at four locations (Omagari, Takada, Konosu and Hiratsuka) in two years (1959 and 1960) were investigated.
