Abstract
An incomplete floral induction caused by the shortage of short-day treatment occasionally brings about an abnormal development in flower buds in rice plants. Its peculiarity is a phasic reversal from sexual to vegetative development, and a change of bract primordium into leaf primordium in the differentiating stage of the primary branch primordia, Unusual heading very often ensues.
