Abstract
The karyotypes were analyzed in C. wabiske and C. sinensis to make more clear whether C. wabiske was a hybrid between C. japonica and C. sileensis or not. As regards to chromosomes with the secondary constriction, there was a similar form in C. sinensis, C. wabiske and C. japonica. In satellite chromosomes, they were partially identical in C. sinensis and C. wabiske, and also in C. japonica and C. sinensis. One variety of C. wabiske, KOTYO-SIRO-WABISUKE, has non-homologous chromosomes, on which the abnormal meiosis and gametogenesis in C. wabiske were discussed.
