Abstract
Differential blast fungus strains for identification of resistance genes in rice varieties were compared in relation to lesion-forming ability, sporulating ability on the host and on artificial media, and aggressiveness. Relative sporulating ability of fungus strains is different due to the host varieties and media used. Particularly, a negative correlation was noted between the amount of sporulation on the host and that on the oatmeal decoction sucrose agar medium.
