A Choice of a Rice Blast Strain Suitable for Selectihg Multi-strain Resistance in Rice Breeding

Abstract

The fungus strain most suitable for selecting lines of rice with multi-strain resistance was chosen from the seven strains of blast fungus representing typical races in Japan. This choice had been made on the basis of the data obtained from reaction patterns of a number of rice varieties to the seven fungus strains.
