Studies on artificial polyploid plants. XX Comparative investigations on some characteristics of induced polyploids of Edgeworthia papyrifera

Abstract

(1) Some different treatments with colchicine were applied to two varieties (Shizuoka and Kochi) of Edgeworthia papyrifera SIEB. et ZUCC. The authors have succeeded in obtaining 10% of 4n-plants from treated seedlings and 15% from treated young stems (one year old).
