Abstract
This paper introduces our previous industry-academia collaboration experiences for developing services and products useful for older adults’ lives. Regarding services, we introduced our experience of working in collaboration with financial institutions and explained the challenges and roles facing psychologists
and care professions. Regarding products, we introduced our experience of introducing robots into nursing
care facilities and its challenges, prospects, and special issues in engaging as a facility member or a professional. It is essential to develop innovations in Japan, which is at the forefront of an aging society. We
wish to propose the need to cooperate actively with the industry in developing innovations.
