Introduction to statistical methods for analyzing single

case research data by focusing on effect size indices

Abstract

Different statistical methods are used to evaluate single-case research data (SCRD). This paper explains the effect size indices developed for analyzing SCRD. Moreover, we have introduced meta-analysis, a statistical synthesis method of analyzing multiple single-case studies using effect sizes. We have also described a meta-analysis of single-case research using multilevel modeling and the application of Bayesian statistical modeling to single-case data.
