Abstract

In snowy and cold regions, snowstorms and strong winds cause snow to fly up from the ground on roads during the winter, resulting in poor visibility and causing traffic obstacles and accidents. One of the countermeasures is the installation of snow break fences and snow break forests to prevent snowstorms. However, because of the large amount of time and money required for maintenance, soft measures that encourage safe traffic behavior by drivers themselves are essential to prevent snowstorms on roads. Furthermore, it was found that it is necessary to provide information on actual road conditions using images, as well as information indicating difficult traffic conditions that can be judged integrally from road and weather information.
