Abstract

Civil infrastructure maintenance is a heavy burden due to increasing number of aged structures and shortage of administrators and financial problems. Thus, it needs to apply new technologies to reduce workloads. As a management of road pavement, there are MCI, IRI and so on methods currently. But it is necessary to reduce work through more new methods. In Tottori prefecture, a system was developed to upload acceleration data with GPS data as tiny type sensor automatically from moving public cars at 1st SIP stage. This system enables pavement evaluation using these big data on car locations and accelerations. Therefore, the data from this system will be analyzed for evaluation on road pavements. This paper describes that it compares different types of cars, car speeds and sampling rates for evaluating road pavements practically.
