One type of concrete level crossing pavement panel, the Soken-type, can be manufactured and installed at low cost. and is designed with a removable structure for track maintenance and rail replacement. However, the improvement of workability remains an issue due to its substantial weight and the large number of components. In this study, an NW-type level crossing pavement panel with a modified structure is developed to significantly improve workability. The assembled panel is evaluated by measuring the response values of its components under load. Additionally, the panel is installed on the track to verify workability and to measure component response values during the passage of a maintenance vehicle. Based on these results, further structural improvements to the NW-type level crossing pavement panel are proposed.
