Abstract
This study is for the mechanical property of the brittle materials such as concrete and rocks. It is fundamentally important to consider the microstructure due to microcracks and its effect on the overall mechanical property. In this study, the mechanical effects of microcracks are studied using the eigenstrain calcurated by ellipsoidal inclusion method and microstructure due to microcracks is expressed by crack tensor.
The relations between the eigenstrain and the crack tensor is considered to propose the elastic constitutive equations.
