Abstract
A DTM (Digital Terrain Model) generation process was studied using JERS-1/OPS stereo data. JERS-1/OPS observes the Earth's surface with 8 bands. Band 4 is allocated with a special function that looks 15.3 degrees ahead of nadir. Stereoscopy is made possible with Band 3 viewing its nadir. A window size of 7×7 pixels was assumed to be suitable for automatic stereo vision. Comparison of the DTM image with the reference data Institute, revealed that the DTM accuracy from OPS data to have a standard of about 30m.
