AN INVESTIGATION ON MAKING THE RECONSTRUCTION AND PROMOTION PLANS AND CONSCIOUSNESS OF INHABITANT OF SHIMABARA DISTRICTS IN UNZEN ERUPTION HAZARD AREA

Abstract

The Fugendake of Unzen Volcano erupted on 17 November 1990. The long-term volcanic eruption rendered severe bad effects on the local economy in commerce and industry and agriculture. The local governments set up the several committees to deliberate the reconstruction plan. Following up on the making the reconstruction and promotion plans, the reconstruction plan in Unzen eruption hazard area are investigated by interviews with local governments and data on the Unzen volcanic disaster.
