Abstract
In the application of CM/GC contract in United States, reduction of design error and additional design work, grabbing of cost in early stage and partial start of construction work are designated by supplying advice regarding design, construction period and cost to the Owner. In addition there is a merit that the separation of contract for construction and for design makes it easier to reflect the owner's intention to the project.
In this paper, in reference to the content of US research visit in November 2013 and the current situation of private civil works, the consideration for the problem and solutions for application of CM/GC contract to public civil works are reported.
