MULTI-RESOLUTION LEVEL COMPLEXITY ANALYSIS ON VISUAL QUALITY OF URBAN VIADUCT IMPROVEMENT

Abstract

There are various types of aesthetic design of urban viaducts. It is said as a design suggestion that the complexity should be simple and not monotonous at the same time. This suggestion includes inconsistency. The purpose of this paper is to solve it through multi-resolution level complexity analysis, which is proposed at this paper.
As a result of the analysis and evaluative psychological experiment, consistent solution has derived. “Simplicity” is effective at lower resolution level and “not monotonous” is effective at higher resolution level.
