Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to propose a simple performance evaluation method based on the condition rating and the deterioration prediction model of the RC bridges with chloride induced deterioration. It is impossible to check all structures in detail because of cost and time. Therefore, reasonable maintenance method needs to be developed. There are a lot of uncertainties of the material condition and the environmental condition which relate to the chloride attack. In this study, several safety factors were considered as uncertainties. And, the update technique of the prediction equation based on the inspection data was proposed. Finally, the proposed condition rating was applied to an actual RC bridge and the results were verified by comparison with detailed evaluation results.
