Abstract
We proposed a multi-institutional PBL using ICT and cooperative experiment. A PBL containing a problem with an environment and a leading-edge technology was designed. The questionnaire investigation results to both engineers and researchers was used for several design items of the PBL. A communication ability was educated at the meeting on web of the early phase of PBL rather than the cooperative experiment of the latter phase of PBL. The questionnaire investigation to the students and teachers revealed that conducting the web meeting apparently required some characteristic factor. This study, however, could not identify what the characteristic factor at a meeting on web was. The teachers finally evaluated an achievement ratio of understanding the experimental principles and the technical acquirement. The questionnaire investigation indicates that the PBL was effective on the technical acquirement. The PBL can lead to a novel education effect on the student's communication ability and has high feasibility.
