In order to achieve the productivity improvement that i-Construction aims for, open innovation efforts are regarded as important. This research aims to develop an educational program for the purpose of creating innovations for improving the productivity of construction sites. In this educational program, it is possible to have a simulated experience of construction planning and construction at a model site, and further, by setting necessary constraints, it encourages students to create innovative ideas. Also developing an automatic excavation excavator, and made it possible to study the range of automation in the construction plan and incorporate it into the construction. In addition, in order to confirm whether the developed educational program actually contributed to the creation of innovative ideas, practicing the educational program at the Graduate School of Engineering, the University of Tokyo, analyze the results, and confirm its effectiveness.
