Abstract
In recent year, great earthquake along the Nankai trough has been concerned in Japan. Therefore, in dangerous areas it is necessary to consider the measures in preparation for earthquake and tsunami in the future. We constructed a estimation model, that show the future of the population, households, and the total floor area of the building. And, we estimated the disaster waste from building by the earthquake and tsunami.
We understood effect of the measures by using the seismic scenario, evacuation scenario, and BAU (business as usual) scenario. In the results of this study, disaster waste from housing by earthquake was decreased by about 41% in seismic scenario at 2010. Disaster waste from building by tsunami was decreased by about 89% in evacuation scenario at 2050. Therefore to further reduce the disaster waste, it is necessary to consider the measures such as raising of the embankment and relocation of housing support for housing relocation.
