UNDERSTANDING OF CURRENT SITUATION OF DISCARDING SMALL HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCES IN JAPAN AND SUGGESTIONS TO ACCELERATE RECYCLING OF USED COMPACT APPLIANCES

Abstract

 The relationship between the citizen's consciousness of small household appliances recycling and the existence of recycling was clarified, and the contents of common knowledge activities to citizens were discussed. In addition, we grasped the method of recycling for every item of small household appliances and the reason why it did not recycle, and considered the policy for recycling small household appliances which are stored. As a result, it is desirable that the contents about recognition about small household appliances recycling be the contents of common knowledge activities of small household appliances. We found that there are many small household appliances that contain personal information, and the reason for not recycling is that there are many concerns about leakage of personal information. The method of recycling these small household appliances is the largest use of home appliance mass retailers, and the collection main body strengthens measures such that data can not be restored or anti-theft measures when depositing small household appliances including personal information., It is necessary to further promote collection at home appliance mass retailers.
