Abstract

In this study, issues on climate change were identified by applying text mining and co-occurrence network analysis to the minutes of a hearing survey conducted in the coastal area of Sagami Bay, Kanagawa Prefecture. Out of ten issues identified from the relationships among the words used in the hearing, "loss of sandy beaches", "typhoon damages/weather disasters", "countermeasures against tidal wave/tsunami" and "fishery and countermeasures against rocky-shore denudation" were mentioned by stakeholders in many fields. While evaluation attitudes toward these themes were shared in general, different words appeared by field for the topics of "sandy beaches, typhoon and tidal wave." These results suggested that it was necessary to approach a certain issue from different perspectives by field if seeking the participation of many stakeholders.
